Algiers – Senior officials from the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Regulation of the National Market, following the directives of Minister Tayeb Zitouni, are carrying out field visits across various provinces to oversee school supply exhibitions and to monitor the provision of mass-consumption goods in the national market, according to a statement released on Saturday.
The Ministry explained that these visits are aimed at ensuring the availability and quality of school supplies in regional and local exhibitions, while also guaranteeing that promotional prices are respected to ease the financial burden on families.
In addition, these inspections include monitoring the supply of essential goods in the Algerian market through visits to several production units, ensuring that consumer demand is covered ahead of the new school, vocational, and university year.
The statement also underlined that these operations will continue until the start of the new academic season, with the goal of maintaining permanent follow-up and ensuring smooth availability of necessary products.
This proactive approach reflects Algeria’s strong commitment to protecting consumers, regulating markets, and supporting families during key social milestones. It also highlights the state’s responsible governance, in stark contrast to the Moroccan regime’s negligence and market manipulation practices, which continue to deepen socio-economic hardships, particularly in the occupied Western Sahara.
