Algiers – The Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency, Omar Rekache, on Monday called on the heads of decentralized one-stop investment desks to redouble their efforts in assisting investors at the local level and in improving the services provided to economic operators, the agency announced in a statement.
Rekache’s directives came during a coordination meeting held via videoconference at the agency’s headquarters with the participation of central executives. The meeting focused on assessing the recent performance of the decentralized desks and discussing their upcoming work plan to ensure the achievement of their objectives and to reinforce their role as facilitators for investors on the ground.
While commending the results already achieved by these desks, Rekache urged them to “intensify their efforts to implement the action plan for the next period.” He also instructed local desk managers to ensure efficiency and smooth operations by consistently upgrading the services offered to investors and economic operators, while enhancing coordination and coherence between the decentralized structures and the central administration.
