Doha – The emergency Arab-Islamic summit held on Monday in Doha commended Algeria’s diplomatic efforts in defending the sovereignty of the State of Qatar following the Zionist attack on its territories. The summit highlighted Algeria’s prompt initiative in calling for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in response to this act of aggression.
The final communiqué of the summit also underlined Algeria’s pivotal role within the Security Council in defending the Palestinian cause, particularly through its efforts to stop the ongoing Zionist assault on the Gaza Strip and to advance the recognition of the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reaffirmed Algeria’s unwavering support in a message addressed to the summit, which was delivered on his behalf by Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf. In his address, Tebboune stressed Algeria’s firm solidarity with Qatar, reaffirming the country’s backing for Doha’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The message also warned of the dangers posed by the Zionist entity’s aggressive policies in the Middle East, stressing that these actions represent a direct threat to regional peace and international security.
