Experts from the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Mines, as well as the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies, are briefing visitors from Japan and around the world on Algeria’s vast potential in renewable energy. They are also highlighting the country’s ongoing efforts to diversify its energy mix and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
National Strategy for Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen
Detailed presentations have been delivered on the pillars of Algeria’s strategy, emphasizing projects aimed at boosting solar and wind energy while investing in the future of green hydrogen. Officials underlined the country’s ambitious National Renewable Energy Program, which targets the production of 15,000 megawatts of renewable energy by 2035.

By showcasing its progress and vision, Algeria is positioning itself as a future hub for clean energy in the Mediterranean and African region.
