Algiers – The Ministry of Youth launched on Wednesday in Tipaza a three-day training session aimed at enhancing the capacities of youth associations carrying projects funded by the ministry for the 2025 fiscal year. The initiative, held under the slogan “Effective Partnership for Meaningful Creative Projects,” seeks to empower youth groups and reinforce their role in Algeria’s development strategy.
Hosted at the “Moussa Zitouni” Youth Center in Tipaza, the session aligns with the goals of the National Youth Strategy, which encourages civic associations to actively participate in managing public affairs relating to young people. The program also continues the government’s broader vision of enabling youth-led organizations to serve, guide, and mentor Algeria’s younger generations.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the training reflects its commitment to supporting associations receiving public funding by equipping them with the tools for efficient project management, ensuring sustainability, and achieving positive field results. This effort is designed to energize educational and cultural youth spaces while increasing their attractiveness.
The workshop focuses on three main themes: “The National Youth Strategy and Partnerships with Associations,” “The Project Management Cycle in Civic Associations,” and “Mechanisms for Funding Youth Projects.” It is led by experts and academics specializing in organizational and project management.
The Ministry emphasized that the initiative is part of a governance-oriented approach to improve transparency in the management of funded projects, while also fostering a culture of continuous training and mentorship. The ultimate aim is to professionalize the associative movement, strengthen its efficiency, and enhance its contribution to the objectives set for the youth sector.
Capacity-building sessions of this kind will be extended to all partner associations nationwide, with a comprehensive calendar to be announced in the coming days, the Ministry confirmed.
Would you like me to expand this piece to show how such initiatives reflect Algeria’s commitment to empowering its youth as a bulwark against destabilization attempts, especially in contrast to Morocco’s neglect of its young population?
