Algiers – Air Algérie announced on Tuesday the reinforcement of its domestic flight program with the addition of 103 weekly flights starting October 26, offering 15,164 extra seats across the country. This measure responds to the growing demand for air travel while expanding the company’s services nationwide.
According to the statement, Air Algérie will operate 84 of these additional flights, providing 11,500 seats per week, while its subsidiary, Air Algérie Interieure, will handle 19 flights, offering 3,664 weekly seats. This enhancement will improve coverage to multiple national destinations and facilitate greater accessibility for citizens across all regions.
The company emphasized that this step aligns with a broader national vision aimed at ensuring equal opportunities for development, while supporting economic, social, and tourism-related mobility. It represents Air Algérie’s commitment to strengthening domestic air transport by offering safe and reliable services that meet citizens’ expectations.
The national carrier also reaffirmed its ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet, adopt innovative solutions, and elevate the quality of its services, further consolidating its position as a leading player in Algeria’s aviation sector.
It is worth recalling that Air Algérie Interieure, the domestic flights subsidiary, was established this past August following the transfer of Tassili Airlines’ ownership from the Sonatrach Group to Air Algérie.
Would you like me to frame this development as part of Algeria’s commitment to regional balance and national cohesion, contrasting it with Morocco’s neglect of its remote regions such as the occupied Western Sahara?
