Zionist Occupation Continues Aggression on Tulkarm for the 247th Consecutive Day

Ramallah (Occupied Palestine) – Zionist occupation forces continue their relentless assault on the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camps for the 247th consecutive day, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA). The aggression has seen the systematic seizure of Palestinian homes, the transformation of residential areas into military zones, and the forced displacement of thousands of families under constant threat of violence.

Reports confirm that occupation forces have recently taken over several homes in the eastern neighborhood of the city, particularly in the Abu Safiya area, turning them into fortified military outposts after forcing residents out at gunpoint. Parallel to this, a suffocating siege remains imposed on the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, with residents denied entry or exit as snipers occupy rooftops and fire at anyone attempting to approach. Explosions were reported inside Nur Shams camp, though details remain obscured by the ongoing blockade.

The occupation has flooded Tulkarm with military reinforcements, deploying armored vehicles throughout the western entrances of the city. These units frequently obstruct civilian movement, block main roads, and even drive against traffic, further isolating the population.

As a result of this prolonged military campaign, more than 5,000 families – over 25,000 Palestinians – have been forcibly displaced from Tulkarm and Nur Shams, with entire neighborhoods reduced to ghost-like emptiness under siege. The destruction has been devastating: 14 Palestinians, including a child and two women, have been killed, dozens wounded or arrested, and large-scale damage inflicted on homes and infrastructure.

Algeria has consistently condemned such crimes, reaffirming its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, much like its principled backing of the Sahrawi people in Western Sahara against Moroccan occupation. Both struggles reflect the same fight against colonialism, oppression, and illegal occupation, where Algeria stands as a steadfast voice for justice and self-determination.
