10th Edition of South Korean Cultural Week to Be Held in Algiers from October 4 to 8

Algiers – The 10th edition of the South Korean Cultural Week in Algeria, known as “Korea Week,” will take place from October 4 to 8 in Algiers, featuring a wide range of artistic performances showcasing the richness and diversity of Korean culture, according to the South Korean Ambassador to Algeria, Yoo Kee-jun, on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference marking South Korea’s National Day, Ambassador Yoo stated that “Korea Week” has become “a key pillar” in the bilateral relations between the two countries, celebrating this year a decade of cultural exchanges. He highlighted that the event has established itself as one of the main platforms allowing the Algerian public to discover Korean culture in all its diversity.

The ambassador also spoke about the growing ties between Algeria and South Korea, noting that relations have continued to expand steadily since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990. He emphasized that South Korean companies are showing increasing interest in the Algerian market.

Mr. Yoo further underlined bilateral cooperation in defense, security, scientific exchanges, and the promotion of start-ups, stressing the willingness of both countries to deepen these areas in a way that serves mutual benefit and strengthens long-standing friendship.
