Algeria and Vietnam Explore Enhanced Trade Cooperation

Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamal Rezig, met with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Algeria, Tran Quoc Khanh, in Algiers on Thursday to discuss avenues for strengthening trade cooperation between the two nations, according to a statement from the Ministry.

During the meeting, both parties agreed on the necessity of establishing an Algerian-Vietnamese Business Council. This council is envisioned as a practical framework for reinforcing connections between economic operators from both countries. The aim is to boost trade exchanges and broaden the scope of bilateral partnerships.

“The establishment of this council will serve as a vital platform for fostering collaboration and identifying new opportunities for growth,” stated Minister Rezig.

Furthermore, the discussion included the organization of reciprocal product exhibitions in Algeria and Vietnam. These exhibitions are intended to showcase the potential of each country’s industries and further stimulate commercial activity.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to elevating economic relations to reflect the strong bond between Algeria and Vietnam. They expressed optimism about the future of their partnership and the potential for mutual benefit through increased trade and investment.

Minister Rezig reiterated Algeria’s dedication to fostering a favorable environment for foreign investment and facilitating trade partnerships with countries like Vietnam. He highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening economic ties to achieve shared prosperity.

The meeting concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration to achieve the objectives outlined during the discussions. Further meetings and consultations are planned to implement the proposed initiatives and monitor progress.
