Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmahdi, along with the Director-General of the National Office for Hajj and Umrah, Tahar Braik, participated in the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to a statement released by the Ministry, Belmahdi’s participation underscores Algeria’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with Saudi Arabia on Hajj and Umrah matters. This collaboration aims to leverage international expertise and experiences in order to continuously improve the services provided to Algerian pilgrims.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of staying abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in Hajj management to ensure a seamless and spiritually enriching experience for Algerian citizens performing the pilgrimage.
The Hajj Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, operates under the theme “From Mecca to the World.” The event serves as a global platform for exchanging knowledge, showcasing innovations, and fostering partnerships in the Hajj and Umrah sector.
Algeria’s active involvement in this event reflects its dedication to providing the highest standards of care and support for its pilgrims, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling journey to the holy sites.
Minister Belmahdi is expected to hold meetings with Saudi officials and other international stakeholders to further discuss avenues for collaboration and improvement in Hajj operations.
