Algiers – In a move highlighting the government’s commitment to integrating vocational training with physical activity, a partnership agreement has been forged between the Ministry of Vocational Training and Education and the Ministry of Sports. The agreement aims to promote sports participation within training institutions through structured programs, allowing young people to combine professional development with organized athletic pursuits.
The initiative seeks to instill sporting values within training environments, fostering a culture of sports as an educational tool that contributes to character development and strengthens discipline and teamwork. The Ministry of Vocational Training intends to create a comprehensive learning environment that cultivates both physical and intellectual capabilities, aligning with the state’s focus on investing in human capital.
The announcement of the agreement coincided with the Algerian Cup final for vocational training clubs, held at the Harcha Hassan multi-sports hall in the capital. The event was attended by Minister of Sports, Mr. Walid Sadi, along with officials from both sectors and a large number of trainees and athletes, creating a festive atmosphere that underscored the unity between young people and training institutions.
The final culminated an eight-month journey of fair competition and sportsmanship, involving over 5,149 trainee athletes representing 289 sports associations across 33 provinces. The event showcased a variety of sports and skills, reflecting the progress of the sports movement within vocational training institutions.
The ministers presided over the ceremony honoring the winners and champions of the tournament, in moments filled with pride and recognition of the outstanding achievements of the trainees, embodying the values of perseverance, diligence, and challenge. This agreement represents a strategic step towards a unified vision for building a well-rounded generation.
