Ooredoo Algeria Organizes Nationwide Blood Donation Drive

Algiers, October 13, 2025 – Ooredoo Algeria, in partnership with the National Blood Agency, successfully conducted its third blood donation drive of 2025 yesterday. The initiative took place across Ooredoo’s headquarters in Algiers, Constantine, and Oran.

The campaign was launched at Ooredoo’s Algiers headquarters, with the presence of National Blood Agency Director, Houria Touafdit, and Ooredoo’s Director of Institutional Affairs, Ramdane Djazairi, along with representatives from Ooredoo’s Human Resources Department.

This initiative, coinciding with the upcoming National Blood Donors Day on October 25th, aligns with Ooredoo’s corporate social responsibility strategy. The goal is to actively contribute to supplying hospitals and blood banks with this vital resource.

Ooredoo emphasized that organizing blood donation drives is not merely a one-off event, but rather a deeply ingrained value within the company’s culture. This year marks the organization of three blood donation campaigns, resulting in the collection of hundreds of blood bags to benefit thousands of patients.

Regularly organizing these drives allows for a more effective response to hospitals’ ongoing needs, including emergency situations requiring blood transfusions.

The success of these campaigns is primarily attributed to the generosity of Ooredoo employees, who readily respond to the call of humanitarian duty and demonstrate a strong spirit of solidarity. This initiative not only supports blood banks but also aims to strengthen internal bonds within the organization and promote values of cooperation and mutual support.

To facilitate participation and ensure a smooth blood donation process, Ooredoo has implemented a digital registration system using a QR code. This allows employees to register quickly and easily, ensuring efficient management of the process. This update demonstrates Ooredoo’s commitment to integrating digitalization with its solidarity initiatives.

Ooredoo’s ongoing commitment underscores its role as a responsible corporate citizen, dedicated to encouraging blood donation and fostering a spirit of solidarity. Each blood donation drive serves as a reminder of the importance of this simple act, which contributes to saving lives and supporting the national healthcare system.
