The National Gendarmerie has announced it will be holding open house events for the public on November 14th and 15th. These events, coinciding with the weekend, will take place at several of its schools and centers across the country.

Locations participating include the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie in Zéralda (Algiers), the Judicial Police School of the National Gendarmerie in Isser (Boumerdès), and non-commissioned officer training schools in Miliana (Aïn Defla), Sidi Bel Abbès, Sétif, and M’daourouch (Souk Ahras). Furthermore, the Road Safety School in Aïn M’lila (Oum El Bouaghi), the Family Recreation Center in the Third Military Region in Béchar, and cultural centers in Ouargla and Tamanrasset will also host open house activities.

This initiative aims to strengthen communication between the National Gendarmerie and the public, highlighting the institution’s role and bringing it closer to the community. The open house events will showcase the modernization and advancements within the Gendarmerie, particularly concerning the advanced equipment used in carrying out its various missions. They will also shed light on the efforts made in combating crime in all its forms and protecting people and property.

The program includes workshops and field demonstrations, as well as information booths to answer citizens’ questions. Special attention will be given to young people interested in joining the National Gendarmerie, providing them with information on the opportunities available within the institution. Visitors will have the chance to learn about the various career paths and possibilities offered by the Gendarmerie.

The National Gendarmerie hopes these open house events will foster a better understanding of its role and responsibilities within Algerian society.
