Resistance Finds Body of Israeli Captive in Khan Yunis

Gaza Strip – Resistance forces have announced the discovery of the body of an Israeli captive in the Khan Yunis area. According to a statement, the body was located in the Murag area, south of the city.

The announcement comes as search operations continue for other missing individuals in the Gaza Strip. For the second consecutive day, a team from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), accompanied by resistance fighters, has been conducting searches in the so-called “yellow zone” southeast of Gaza City.

These search efforts are focused on recovering the remains of Israeli captives in areas heavily damaged by previous bombardments. The teams are reportedly facing significant challenges due to the extensive destruction.

Sources on the ground indicate that the recovery operations are fraught with danger, including the presence of unexploded ordnance and the lack of local DNA analysis laboratories. This complicates the process of confirming the identities of the recovered remains before they are handed over.

Israel has reportedly conditioned further progress in the agreement on the retrieval of all bodies. However, resistance officials emphasize that the process is complex and requires significant time, effort, and technical cooperation.

Meanwhile, according to the Gaza Government Media Office, approximately 9,500 Palestinian bodies remain buried under the rubble from the recent Israeli bombardment.

Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, reports indicate continued violations by Israeli forces, resulting in casualties. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reports 245 fatalities and approximately 614 injuries since the ceasefire began.
