Tipaza, Algeria – November 13, 2025 – A series of wildfires ignited across several forested areas within the Tipaza province on Thursday, prompting a large-scale response from civil defense authorities.
According to the latest updates from the Civil Protection services, the fires are impacting the following locations:
- Douar Boukhlidja Forest, in the municipality of Larhat, Damous district.
- Amarsha Forest, in the municipality of Moussaoulem, Gouraya district.
- Douar Choula Forest, in the municipality of Beni Milleuk, Damous district.
The affected regions are experiencing significant challenges as firefighters battle to contain the blazes. Authorities have confirmed that operational units have been reinforced with teams from the National Training and Intervention Unit based in Dar El Beida. Furthermore, additional support has been dispatched from neighboring provinces, including Ain Defla, Blida, Chlef, and Medea.
The cause of the fires is currently under investigation. Authorities are urging residents in the affected areas to exercise caution and follow all safety guidelines issued by the Civil Protection services.
