Algiers – Algeria’s higher education sector is making significant strides in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among university students. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research recently awarded the “Innovative Project Label” to 23 projects developed by students from various universities across the nation.
Minister Kamal Baddari emphasized that these initiatives align with the national vision to launch 20,000 startups, small businesses, and economic branches. These ventures will rely on the skills of university graduates capable of transforming ideas into innovative products and services.
The awarded projects span a wide range of institutions, including:
- University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (Bab Ezzouar): 2 innovative projects
- University of Oum El Bouaghi: 2 innovative projects
- University of Tizi Ouzou: 1 innovative project
- Higher Normal School – Kouba: 1 innovative project
- University of Blida 2: 2 innovative projects
- University of Djelfa: 3 innovative projects
- University of Tiaret: 3 innovative projects
- National Higher School of Management: 1 innovative project
- University of Science and Technology Mohamed Boudiaf (Oran): 1 innovative project
- University of Sidi Bel Abbes: 1 innovative project
- University of Mila: 1 innovative project
