The National Meteorological Office has issued a warning regarding continued thunderstorms and strong winds across several provinces. In an alert issued on Wednesday, the office warned of significant thunderstorms with rainfall amounts exceeding 50 mm locally in the provinces of Naama, El Bayadh, and Bechar.
The weather alert also indicated significant thunderstorms starting from 3:00 PM today and continuing until midnight in the provinces of Tizi Ouzou, Bouira, Medea, and M’Sila.
Furthermore, the meteorological services expect significant thunderstorms to begin at 9:00 PM tonight and continue until dawn on Thursday in the provinces of Djelfa, Ouled Djellal, Ghardaia, Ouargla, and Illizi.
The provinces of Bechar, Beni Abbes, and Tindouf will continue to experience strong winds exceeding 90 km/h, accompanied by heavy sandstorms, until 9:00 PM.
Additionally, the provinces of El Bayadh, El Menia, Timimoun, Adrar, In Salah, Ouargla, Touggourt, and El Oued will witness strong winds and sandstorms starting from noon today until midnight.
