Direct Hiring for Elite School Graduates Announced

Sidi Abdellah, Algiers – November 15, 2025 – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, accompanied by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, inaugurated the first edition of the “Job Offers” exhibition today at the scientific and technological hub “Martyr Abdelhafid Ihadden” in Sidi Abdellah, Algiers.

During the inauguration, Minister Baddari announced a significant initiative aimed at securing the future of Algeria’s top graduates. He stated that students graduating from the elite higher schools of mathematics and artificial intelligence, located within the Sidi Abdellah scientific hub, will be guaranteed employment contracts with economic institutions by June 2026. This commitment aims to provide a seamless transition from academia to the professional world for these highly skilled individuals.

“The primary objective of this measure is to retain these talented students within Algeria,” Baddari emphasized. The initiative directly addresses concerns about brain drain and seeks to harness the potential of these graduates for the benefit of the national economy. By providing guaranteed employment opportunities, the government hopes to encourage these young professionals to build their careers and contribute to the development of Algeria.

The “Job Offers” exhibition provided a platform for students to connect with potential employers and explore various career paths. The presence of Minister Zerrouki alongside Minister Baddari underscores the importance of collaboration between the education sector and other key industries, particularly in the fields of technology and communication.

This announcement signals a proactive approach by the Algerian government to support its graduates and foster a thriving ecosystem for innovation and economic growth. The direct hiring initiative promises to be a significant step in ensuring that Algeria remains competitive in the global landscape and retains its most valuable asset: its highly educated workforce.
