Tamanrasset, October 16, 2025 – Units of the People’s National Army (ANP) operating within the Tamanrasset military sector have successfully dismantled a terrorist cell consisting of seven individuals. The cell was reportedly planning criminal activities within the Sixth Military Region.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of National Defense, the operation resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons and equipment. This includes:
- Two Kalashnikov assault rifles
- Six ammunition magazines
- A substantial quantity of ammunition
- One all-terrain vehicle
- Two Thuraya satellite communication devices
