Algiers – In an unprecedented move, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced guaranteed employment contracts for the graduating class of 2026 from two prestigious institutions: the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence and the National Higher School of Mathematics.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamal Baddari, made the announcement on Saturday in Algiers during the opening of the “Job Fair” at the Abdelhafid Ihadden Science and Technology Hub in Sidi Abdellah. The fair, co-presided by the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Said Ali Zerrouki, aims to connect graduates in scientific and technological fields with national economic institutions.
According to Baddari, a total of 157 students – 107 from the School of Artificial Intelligence and 50 from the School of Mathematics – will benefit from direct employment contracts across various economic and service sectors. This initiative aims to support the transition towards a knowledge-based economy and foster national innovation.
The Minister emphasized that this measure is expected to stabilize highly qualified national talent, strengthen their presence in the market, and enhance their role in developing future sectors, particularly those related to modern technologies.
During a tour of the exhibition, students expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, which provides them with a clearer understanding of available job opportunities and the requirements of institutions. They believe that direct interaction with economic operators facilitates the internship process and opens the door to quality employment.
Representatives from participating institutions confirmed that the fields of mathematics and artificial intelligence have become essential components of various sectors. Approaching graduates from these schools allows them to attract talent capable of introducing innovative solutions and enhancing the competitiveness of national institutions.
