Qatar Charity Distributes School Supplies to Gaza Children

Gaza City – Qatar Charity has completed the distribution of 45,000 school bags to children in the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing “Labbeh Gaza.. Duty and Loyalty” campaign. The initiative aims to revitalize the educational process and reintegrate children back into classrooms after years of conflict.

According to a statement released by Qatar Charity, the project extends beyond merely distributing school bags. It encompasses the rehabilitation of damaged classrooms to create a conducive learning environment and provides incentives for teachers to improve their living conditions. These combined efforts seek to benefit thousands of students and educators across the region.

Qatar Charity teams have already refurbished approximately 60 classrooms and are preparing to distribute incentives to teachers. The organization’s efforts are a response to the dire situation in Gaza, where a significant number of children have been deprived of their fundamental right to education.

International assessments indicate that over 650,000 children in Gaza have been impacted by the disruption to education. Reports from agencies indicate that a vast majority of schools have suffered damage, rendering them unusable.

In a related development, Qatar Charity recently facilitated the delivery of tents and essential humanitarian supplies through the Rafah crossing as part of the Qatari humanitarian air bridge. Through the “Labbeh Gaza.. Duty and Loyalty” campaign, the organization continues to implement other relief projects, including the distribution of food baskets and potable water.

The ceasefire agreement in Gaza brought an end to widespread destruction and loss of life. The conflict resulted in extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, with initial losses estimated at billions of dollars. Qatar Charity’s initiatives represent a crucial step towards recovery and rebuilding the lives of children in Gaza.
