Over 94,000 Housing Units Distributed Across Algeria

Algiers, November 16, 2025 – In commemoration of the 71st anniversary of the Algerian Revolution, the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City has announced the distribution of 94,781 housing units across various provinces of the nation.

A statement released by the ministry on Sunday revealed that this figure represents 65.54% of the total allocation planned for the anniversary, which amounts to 144,601 units. The ministry assured that the distribution process will continue until all allocated housing units are delivered to beneficiaries.

The housing distribution initiative encompassed several provinces. Adrar saw the distribution of 2,603 units, representing nearly 100% completion. Similarly, Bechar achieved 100% distribution with 2,153 units. In Djelfa, 7,648 units were distributed, also nearing 100% completion, while Sidi Bel Abbes saw the distribution of 3,263 units, achieving a 96% completion rate.

Other provinces also witnessed significant progress. Mostaganem distributed 1,726 units (63%), Bordj Bou Arreridj 2,180 units (92%), and Khenchela 2,964 units (93%).

Furthermore, executive bodies within the housing sector have initiated field visits and working meetings in several provinces including Bechar, Khenchela, Bejaia, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Laghouat, El Oued, Oum El Bouaghi, Tissemsilt, Tiaret, Mascara, M’Sila, Tizi Ouzou, Djanet, and Skikda. These efforts aim to monitor the progress of ongoing housing projects and address any obstacles hindering their timely completion, ensuring that projects are delivered within the set deadlines.
