Algiers, November 16, 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today received Sidi Ould Tah, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, at the Presidential Palace. The meeting underscores Algeria’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the AfDB and fostering economic development across the African continent.
The discussions centered on ongoing and future collaborations between Algeria and the AfDB, with a particular focus on key sectors such as infrastructure, energy, and sustainable development. President Tebboune reiterated Algeria’s support for the AfDB’s mission to drive inclusive growth and reduce poverty in Africa.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review the progress of AfDB-funded projects in Algeria and to identify new areas for cooperation. Both parties expressed their satisfaction with the current state of the partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening their collaboration in the years to come.
Also present at the meeting were Boualem Boualem, Director of the President’s Office; Abderrahmane Raouya, Minister of Finance; and Ali Bouhraoua, Algeria’s representative to the African Development Bank Group. Their presence highlights the importance Algeria places on its relationship with the AfDB and its commitment to working together to achieve shared development goals.
