Biskra, Algeria – The official launch of the national cultural event, “Month of the Arabic Language,” was announced today at Mohamed Khider University in Biskra. Professor Saleh Belaid, President of the Higher Council for the Arabic Language, inaugurated the event, marking the beginning of a month dedicated to celebrating and promoting the Arabic language and its rich cultural heritage.
The month-long celebration will feature a series of events, including lectures, seminars, poetry readings, and exhibitions, all aimed at highlighting the importance of the Arabic language in Algerian society and beyond. Professor Belaid emphasized the council’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the Arabic language and encourage its use in all aspects of life, from education to media to government. A key highlight of this year’s “Month of the Arabic Language” will be the inaugural presentation of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Literature and the Arabic Language.
