Over 94,000 Housing Units Distributed Across Algeria

Algiers, Algeria – In commemoration of the 71st anniversary of the Algerian Revolution, the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning, and the City has announced the distribution of 94,781 housing units across various provinces nationwide.

According to a statement released by the ministry on Sunday, this allocation represents 65.54 percent of the total program designated for the anniversary, which encompasses 144,601 units. The distribution process is ongoing and will continue until all planned housing units have been allocated.

The distribution spanned several provinces. Adrar saw the allocation of 2,603 units, nearing 100 percent completion. Bechar achieved 100 percent distribution with 2,153 units. In Djelfa, 7,648 units were distributed, also approaching 100 percent. Sidi Bel Abbes saw 3,263 units allocated, representing 96 percent of its designated share.

Other provinces also benefited from the housing distribution. Mostaganem saw 1,726 units distributed (63 percent), Bordj Bou Arreridj allocated 2,180 units (92 percent), and Khenchela distributed 2,964 units (93 percent).

In a related development, executive bodies within the housing sector have initiated field visits and working meetings in several provinces, including Bechar, Khenchela, Bejaia, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Laghouat, El Oued, Oum El Bouaghi, Tissemsilt, Tiaret, Mascara, M’Sila, Tizi Ouzou, Djanet, and Skikda. These efforts aim to monitor the progress of construction projects and address any on-site obstacles, ensuring the timely completion and delivery of housing projects, according to the ministry’s statement.
