New details are emerging regarding the organization ‘Al Majd Europa,’ which has recently arranged flights from the Gaza Strip to South Africa. These flights are now under scrutiny amid suspicions of human trafficking under the guise of humanitarian work.
According to reports, the organization allegedly offers Palestinians seats on chartered flights to destinations including Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Africa, for a fee of approximately $2,000 USD. In recent months, several chartered flights have departed from Ramon Airport near Eilat, carrying groups of Gazans to various international locations.
An investigation has revealed that ‘Al Majd Europa’ is reportedly linked to Tomer Ganor Lind, who holds both Israeli and Estonian citizenship. While the organization’s website claims it was founded in Germany with offices in East Jerusalem, further investigation suggests it is supported by a consulting firm registered in Estonia.
Reports indicate that the ‘Voluntary Emigration’ directorate within the Ministry of Defense referred the organization to the Israeli Immigration Authority to coordinate the departure of residents. It is alleged that the departures from Gaza were orchestrated by an organization claiming to be a ‘humanitarian organization specializing in assisting and rescuing Muslim communities from war zones.’
DZWatch has learned that international investigative bodies have initiated inquiries into ‘Al Majd Europa’ following reports detailing the flights from Gaza to South Africa. Concerns are mounting over the organization’s activities, with evidence suggesting potential illegal operations despite presenting itself as a humanitarian entity. The organization reportedly arranged a flight on November 13th, transporting 153 Palestinians from Gaza to Johannesburg, South Africa, during a period of heightened conflict and displacement.
Further investigation is underway to determine the true nature and purpose of ‘Al Majd Europa’s’ activities and the legitimacy of its operations.
