For the tenth consecutive day, Israeli forces have maintained the closure of the town of Yabad, located south of Jenin in the West Bank. The ongoing blockade has severely restricted the movement of Palestinian residents, causing significant disruption to daily life.
According to local sources, Israeli forces initially sealed off the entrances to Yabad last week with earth barriers, with the exception of the main entrance. This has prevented residents from entering or leaving the town. Reports indicate that some families have been forced to evacuate their homes, which have been converted into military outposts by the occupying forces.
Witnesses state that soldiers compelled residents of homes adjacent to these newly established military positions to leave their properties. Furthermore, ongoing raids and searches of numerous homes within Yabad continue, adding to the climate of fear and uncertainty.
In a separate incident in Tubas, a Palestinian individual sustained injuries after being shot by Israeli forces in the Al-Far’a refugee camp. Local sources reported that ambulance crews were prevented from accessing the wounded person. The Israeli military had reportedly entered the camp following incursions into the town of Aqaba and the city of Tubas.
DZWatch has observed a notable escalation in Israeli military activity across the West Bank, characterized by frequent raids, arrests, and the closure of towns and cities. These actions continue to raise concerns about the deteriorating humanitarian situation and the impact on the civilian population. This represents a worrying trend.
