Fiat Algeria has issued a warning to its customers regarding recent reports of fraudulent activity. The company has become aware of individuals posing as representatives of Fiat Algeria, contacting customers and requesting sensitive financial information such as bank account details (RIB).
In an official statement, Fiat Algeria clarified that these communications are not affiliated with the company’s official procedures and represent attempts to steal personal data or induce victims into making illegal payments. Fiat Algeria unequivocally stated that it never requests credit card numbers, RIB details, security codes, or passwords via phone, email, or text message. Any such request should be considered fraudulent.
To ensure secure transactions, Fiat Algeria urges customers to refer exclusively to the official list of authorized dealerships published on the Fiat.dz website. All commercial transactions are to be completed solely through these authorized dealers. Fiat Algeria also emphasized that personal data collected is used exclusively for processing requests and is protected in accordance with Law 18-07 concerning the protection of individuals in the processing of personal data.
The company further advises anyone who receives a suspicious call to verify its origin or report it through customer service at 0770 165 165, safeguarding the security of transactions and protecting customer data. Fiat Algeria is committed to protecting its customers from these scams.
