Algiers, Algeria – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today received Davide Tizzano, President of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games (ICMG), at the Presidential Palace. The meeting underscores Algeria’s continued commitment to sports and its active role within the Mediterranean sporting community.
The discussions focused on the upcoming Mediterranean Games and ways to further strengthen collaboration between Algeria and the ICMG. President Tebboune reaffirmed Algeria’s dedication to promoting the values of sportsmanship and regional cooperation through participation in international sporting events.
Mr. Tizzano expressed his gratitude to President Tebboune for the warm reception and reiterated the ICMG’s appreciation for Algeria’s consistent support. He highlighted the importance of Algeria’s role in fostering unity and understanding among Mediterranean nations through sports.
Also present at the meeting were Boualem Boualem, Director of the President’s Office; Abderrahmane Hammad, President of the Algerian Olympic Committee; and Mustapha Berraf, a member of the International Olympic Committee.
