Severe Thunderstorms Forecast Across Multiple Algerian Provinces

Algiers, Algeria – Several provinces across Algeria are bracing for a period of intense thunderstorms starting tomorrow, Thursday, according to weather forecasts. A special weather advisory indicates that rainfall amounts are expected to range between 30 and 40 millimeters, with the possibility of exceeding 50 millimeters in some localized areas.

The affected provinces include Tipaza, Algiers, Blida, Bouira, and the northern regions of Medea. The anticipated period of intense weather is slated to begin on Thursday at 6:00 PM and continue through Saturday at 6:00 AM.

Furthermore, the provinces of Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, northern Setif, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf are also expected to experience thunderstorms. Rainfall in these areas is predicted to range from 40 to 50 millimeters and could potentially reach or surpass 70 millimeters in certain localities. This period of adverse weather is also expected to commence on Thursday at 6:00 PM, extending until Saturday at 12:00 PM.
