Algeria Urges Vietnamese Firms to Seize Economic Reform Opportunities

Algeria’s Prime Minister has extended an invitation to Vietnamese businesses, encouraging them to capitalize on the nation’s sweeping economic reforms. The goal is to initiate partnership and investment projects, leveraging Algeria’s favorable business climate, abundant raw materials, competitive cost structures, and proximity to both European and African markets.

During an expanded consultation session with the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Algerian Prime Minister emphasized the importance of seizing opportunities presented by the exceptional dynamism of both economies. He advocated for strengthening the foundations of this partnership and enhancing communication between business leaders and economic institutions from both sides, paving the way for mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Prime Minister highlighted the significant gains both countries have made in their economic transformation journeys. These advancements have enabled them to play crucial roles in development and integration within their respective geopolitical spheres. He stressed the need to establish appropriate frameworks to translate this experience and these gains into tangible drivers for enhanced cooperation and maximized partnership opportunities.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the 13th session of the Algerian-Vietnamese Joint Committee, held in Algiers over the past two days. He underscored the importance of expediting the implementation of these outcomes, particularly through the development of a roadmap with concrete steps and specific timelines. Regular evaluation of progress through bilateral cooperation mechanisms at various levels is also deemed crucial.

An Algerian-Vietnamese economic forum is scheduled to take place later today, with the Algerian Prime Minister officiating the opening. This forum will provide a platform for business leaders from both nations to explore potential avenues for collaboration and forge productive, profitable partnerships, effectively contributing to the shared ambition of advancing bilateral relations.
