President Tebboune Launches Construction of New Sports Complex

Constantine, Algeria – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune today laid the foundation stone for a major new sports complex in Constantine, signaling a significant investment in the nation’s sporting infrastructure.

The ambitious project includes a state-of-the-art football stadium, accompanied by two dedicated training grounds. Integrated within the stadium structure will be accommodation facilities featuring 60 rooms, designed to house athletes and support staff.

Furthermore, the complex will boast an Olympic-sized swimming pool with a seating capacity of 3,000, providing a venue for national and international aquatic competitions. A multi-sports hall, capable of accommodating 2,000 spectators, is also planned, offering facilities for a variety of indoor sports.

In addition to the core sporting venues, the complex will feature three tennis courts, catering to the growing interest in the sport. Addressing logistical needs, a large parking area with a capacity for 3,500 vehicles will be constructed. The project also incorporates a dedicated energy hub, ensuring a sustainable and efficient power supply for the entire complex.

The launch of this project underscores the government’s commitment to promoting sports and providing world-class facilities for Algerian athletes and the wider community. The new sports complex is expected to become a focal point for sporting events and a source of pride for the region.
