Protest in UK Demands Release of Palestine Action Detainees

London, UK – Activists staged a demonstration in front of the Ministry of Justice in London, demanding the release of over 30 individuals detained for their association with Palestine Action. The organization was banned by the government and designated a “terrorist organization” in July.

The protest was organized by a campaign advocating for the lifting of the ban on Palestine Action. Organizers highlighted the deteriorating health of six detainees who have entered their third week of a hunger strike.

The demonstrators accuse the government of suppressing legitimate protest and silencing voices critical of Israeli policies. They argue that the ban on Palestine Action is politically motivated and undermines freedom of speech. The campaign asserts that the detained activists are political prisoners and should be released immediately.

The situation remains tense, with no immediate indication of a resolution. The government has yet to respond directly to the demands of the protesters or address the hunger strike. Supporters of the detainees have vowed to continue their campaign until their demands are met.

The case has drawn attention from human rights organizations and civil liberties groups, raising concerns about the limits of free speech and the government’s response to political activism.
