DZWatch Exclusive: The National Meteorological Office has issued a special weather advisory, forecasting significant snowfall across nineteen provinces in Algeria. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions as the winter weather arrives.
The advisory, released earlier today, Friday, indicates that snowfall accumulation is expected to range between 10 and 20 centimeters in several regions, commencing at 3:00 PM today and continuing until 3:00 PM tomorrow.
Provinces under the heavier snowfall warning include: Bouira, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Setif, and Bordj Bou Arreridj.
A separate advisory warns of lighter snowfall, estimated between 5 and 10 centimeters, affecting the following provinces: Skikda, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, and Khenchela. This snowfall is anticipated to begin at 9:00 PM tonight and persist until noon tomorrow, Saturday.
Finally, provinces of Blida, Ain Defla, Tissemsilt, and Medea are expected to experience snowfall from 6:00 PM this evening until 9:00 AM tomorrow, Saturday.
