Settler Violence Escalates Across West Bank, Reports Say

West Bank – Attacks by settlers against Palestinian civilians and property have intensified across the West Bank, according to reports received by DZWatch. Several incidents were reported early Friday morning, highlighting a concerning trend of escalating violence.

In the South Hebron Hills, specifically in Khirbet al-Markez in Masafer Yatta, disturbing footage has emerged allegedly showing settlers violently assaulting residents. The details of the attack are still unfolding, but initial reports suggest a deliberate attempt to intimidate and displace the local population.

Further north, near Nablus, arson attacks have been reported. Six tourist facilities under construction on Mount Taruja, located between the villages of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya and Ammuriya, were reportedly set ablaze. The properties belong to Khalil Abu Sunaina and his partners. A security guard sustained burns while attempting to extinguish the fire.

Another incident near Nablus involved an attack on a plant nursery in Deir Sharaf. Owned by Nasser Nasser, the nursery was reportedly vandalized, with plants and equipment destroyed. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

In the Ramallah area, a farming structure in Abu Falah village was reportedly set on fire, with racist graffiti left at the scene. This incident is being investigated as a potential hate crime.

In the Bethlehem area, specifically in the village of Kisan east of the city, a number of residents reportedly suffered from tear gas inhalation following clashes involving Israeli forces and settlers. The exact circumstances surrounding these clashes remain unclear.

These incidents underscore the ongoing tensions and the volatile situation in the West Bank. DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
