Israeli Airstrikes Target Southern Lebanon

DZWatch News – Beirut – Israeli warplanes have reportedly conducted a series of airstrikes targeting areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. The strikes, which occurred earlier today, focused on multiple locations within the region.

According to reports from our correspondent, the Israeli Air Force targeted the Jabal Safi heights, the Sajed area, and the high ground near Jbour in southern Lebanon. These areas have been the subject of previous military activity, raising concerns about escalating tensions.

Further east, two Israeli airstrikes reportedly hit the vicinity of Shamshtar in the Bekaa Valley. The reasons for targeting this specific location remain unclear, but sources suggest it may be linked to ongoing security concerns in the border region.

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation confirmed that its air force initiated a wave of strikes in the Bekaa Valley and the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. This confirmation follows earlier reports of increased aerial activity in the region.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health recently announced that one person was killed in an earlier drone strike on a vehicle in the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, located in southern Lebanon. A Lebanese security source stated that the Israeli drone targeted the vehicle with a missile on the Zawtar al-Sharqiya road in the Nabatieh district. The strike resulted in the complete destruction of the vehicle and a subsequent fire.

The situation remains fluid, and DZWatch News will continue to provide updates as they become available. The recent increase in military activity raises concerns about the potential for further escalation in the already volatile region. We are committed to providing our readers with accurate and timely information on this developing story.
