New York (United Nations) – Algeria has strongly condemned the repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza by the Zionist entity. The condemnation was issued today, Monday, from New York, with Algeria calling on mediators to take “immediate and decisive” action to uphold the ceasefire.

Algeria expressed its deep concern over the escalating tensions and the potential for further violence. The statement emphasized the importance of respecting international law and the need for all parties to adhere to the terms of the ceasefire agreement. The continued violations undermine efforts to achieve a lasting peace and stability in the region.

“The persistent breaches of the ceasefire are unacceptable and demand immediate attention,” a spokesperson for the Algerian delegation stated. “We urge the international community, particularly the mediators involved, to exert maximum pressure to ensure that the ceasefire is respected and that further escalation is prevented.”

The Algerian delegation further emphasized the critical role of the United Nations Security Council in maintaining peace and security in the region. It called on the Council to take concrete steps to address the ongoing violations and to ensure the protection of civilians. Algeria stressed that a comprehensive and sustainable solution requires addressing the root causes of the conflict and creating a conducive environment for meaningful negotiations.

The statement concluded with a renewed appeal for restraint and a commitment to continue working towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
