The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad issued a statement today regarding the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
According to the ministry’s statement, Algeria is closely monitoring the alarming escalation of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, leading to the loss of lives of numerous innocent Palestinian men and women. The statement condemns the Zionist occupation’s persistence in its policy of tyranny and persecution imposed on the brave Palestinian people.
Algeria strongly condemns these policies and practices that violate the most basic human principles and international legitimacy references. In this context, Algeria renews its call for immediate intervention by the international community through relevant international bodies to protect the Palestinian people from the aggression and atrocities perpetrated by the Zionist occupation.
Additionally, Algeria reiterates its conviction that Zionist settlement occupation is the core of the Arab-Israeli conflict. Ending the tribulations and tragedies resulting from this conflict undoubtedly lies in responding to the legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, enabling them to establish their independent state within the 1967 borders with its capital in the holy city of Jerusalem.
