Algiers, November 27, 2025 – The Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation has officially launched a new digital platform for reporting lost documents. This initiative, known as ‘Déclaration de perte en ligne,’ aims to streamline the process for citizens and businesses.
The announcement was made by Minister Said Saayoud during a national guidance meeting for National Security personnel held at the Ali Tounsi Higher Police School in Algiers. Minister Saayoud emphasized the importance of modern management techniques, highlighting the National Security dashboard as a crucial tool for effective governance both now and in the future.
Addressing the ongoing digital transformation, Minister Saayoud stated that significant progress has been made in realizing the President’s vision. This includes a gradual transition away from paper-based administrative processes and an increased reliance on digital applications in policing, particularly those designed to improve public service.
The new digital platform allows individuals and legal entities to complete the reporting process without physically visiting police stations. According to a previous statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the system uses an electronic form that users must complete accurately, providing all necessary information about the lost, stolen, or damaged document.
Once the request is submitted through the platform, specialized police departments will review the provided data and verify its accuracy. Upon approval, the applicant will receive an electronically signed declaration via the email address provided during registration. The platform can be accessed at www.dgsn.dz/e-declaration.
This initiative represents a significant step towards modernizing public services and improving efficiency for both citizens and law enforcement.
