President Abdelmajid Tebboune of Algeria received a phone call from his Palestinian counterpart, President Mahmoud Abbas, during which President Abbas briefed him on the grave violations being committed by the occupying forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
According to a statement from the Algerian presidency, President Abdelmajid Tebboune reiterated Algeria’s full solidarity, both the government and the people, with the Palestinian brothers and sisters. He emphasized that these developments serve as a reminder to everyone that “a just and comprehensive peace, as a strategic choice, can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with sovereignty, with its capital in Jerusalem, in accordance with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.”
In response, President Abbas expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to President Tebboune for Algeria’s unwavering support for the just Palestinian cause.
