Algerian Minister Engages Tech Leaders at Doha Telecoms Conference

DOHA – Algerian Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, engaged with key players in the telecommunications and technology sectors during his participation in the Mobile World Congress (MWC25) in Doha. The Minister held several meetings with prominent figures in the industry, according to a statement released by the Ministry on Thursday.

The statement detailed that Minister Zerrouki met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. This meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the development of technology parks, with the aim of generating new employment opportunities within the sector.

Minister Zerrouki was also received at the Ooredoo Group pavilion, where discussions focused on potential future partnerships and the company’s role in supporting innovation and digital transformation projects in Algeria.

Furthermore, Zerrouki participated in a high-level ministerial meeting on technological infrastructure, bringing together ministers from various countries around the globe. The meeting explored the best approaches to building robust and resilient digital infrastructures.

The Ministry’s statement concluded that the Algerian Minister of Post and Telecommunications was invited to visit a number of pavilions hosted by global technology companies participating in the conference, underscoring Algeria’s commitment to engaging with international partners in the digital space.
