Palestinian PM: No State Without Gaza

Ramallah – Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa asserted today that there can be no Palestinian state without the Gaza Strip. He emphasized ongoing efforts to secure a ceasefire in the region, according to reports.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came during a meeting in Ramallah with an Italian parliamentary delegation, where they discussed the latest political and on-the-ground developments in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Mustafa affirmed that a reconstruction and recovery plan exists for the Gaza Strip, complete with an implementation program. He noted that this plan has been endorsed by Arab and Islamic nations and receives support from the international community through the New York Declaration.

He also addressed the escalating situation in the occupied West Bank, highlighting the ongoing aggression by the occupation army and settlers, particularly in the northern West Bank governorates, most recently the continued aggression against the Tubas Governorate.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister condemned the occupation’s actions, including the withholding of Palestinian tax revenues for the sixth consecutive month. He stressed that this measure severely impacts the government’s ability to meet its obligations to the Palestinian people and provide essential services.
