Emir Abdelkader Established Advanced Political System

Mascara, Algeria – Emir Abdelkader established a political, administrative, and military system that was among the most advanced of its time, according to Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tacherifet.

Speaking Thursday evening in the province of Mascara, the Minister emphasized the significance of Abdelkader’s achievements in laying the foundations for a modern state during a relatively short period.

“The Emir’s vision transcended mere resistance; he built institutions and structures that reflected a deep understanding of governance and societal needs,” Tacherifet stated. “His system was not only effective in mobilizing resources for defense but also in providing essential services and maintaining social order.”

The Minister highlighted the innovative aspects of Abdelkader’s administration, including the establishment of a centralized treasury, a structured judicial system, and a professional army. These elements, he argued, demonstrated a remarkable capacity for state-building under challenging circumstances.

DZWatch will continue to provide updates on events commemorating the Emir’s legacy and contributions to Algerian history.

The Minister’s remarks were made during commemorations marking the anniversary of the Emir’s actions. The event was attended by local officials, veterans, and members of the public.
