Israeli Forces Raid Al-Far’a Camp, Displace Palestinians

Israeli forces stormed the Al-Far’a refugee camp in the Tubas governorate, northern West Bank, on Friday, as part of a military operation that has now entered its third day. Witnesses reported a large contingent of Israeli soldiers entered the camp after positioning themselves around its perimeter for the past two days.

The forces initiated extensive raids on Palestinian homes, while infantry units patrolled the alleyways and streets. Residents reported thorough searches of homes, creating a tense atmosphere within the camp due to the restrictions on movement.

Witnesses further stated that the Israeli army forcibly displaced Palestinian families from their homes within the camp. Kamal Bani Odeh, the director of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society in Tubas, stated that Israeli forces detained 162 Palestinians over the past two days, transferring them to field interrogation centers established in commandeered homes. He added that most of those detained have since been released in batches. However, some were hospitalized due to mistreatment and exposure to harsh weather conditions during their detention.

Nidal Odeh, director of ambulance and emergency services in Tubas, reported that Red Crescent teams have treated over 70 Palestinians since the beginning of the incursion, for injuries sustained as a result of beatings by Israeli soldiers.

In a related development, Israeli forces withdrew from the town of Tamoun in Tubas early Friday, following a two-day incursion that caused significant damage to infrastructure, particularly in the eastern part of the town, as well as widespread damage to civilian property.

Tubas governorate has been subjected to continuous raids in several areas for the past three days, along with the closure of entrances to the governorate and the imposition of severe restrictions on movement. Dozens of injuries have been reported as a result of assaults on Palestinians during search and detention operations.
