50 Nations Join Gaza Coordination Center Amid Peace Efforts

Kiryat Gat, Israel – The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Friday that 50 nations and international organizations are now represented at the Civil-Military Coordination Center established in southern Israel. The center is designed to oversee the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and facilitate humanitarian aid.

In a statement released on social media, CENTCOM stated that the U.S.-led Coordination Center has expanded to include representatives from 50 partner nations and international organizations, one month after reaching full operational capacity. The commander of CENTCOM lauded this development as a historic opportunity to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East, expressing gratitude for the efforts of international partners and emphasizing that the successful implementation of the peace plan requires unprecedented cooperation.

CENTCOM’s statement highlighted the center’s role in facilitating the movement of over 24,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid and commercial goods into Gaza over the past five weeks. The center is also reportedly working to deliver necessary humanitarian supplies for the winter months and remove unexploded ordnance along vital logistical corridors within Gaza to improve safety.

DZWatch has learned that the Coordination Center has also assisted in the evacuation of over 1,500 civilians from Gaza who hold dual citizenship or require medical care.

According to CENTCOM, the Coordination Center serves as the primary hub for coordinating aid to the Gaza Strip. It was established on October 17th, following the signing of a U.S.-brokered peace plan by world leaders to permanently end the conflict. The center began operating at full capacity one week later, on October 24th.
