Tubas, West Bank – Israeli occupation forces have reportedly converted residential homes in the town of Tammun, located in the Tubas Governorate, into makeshift detention and interrogation centers during a recent and ongoing military operation.
Residents returning to their homes after the Israeli military withdrawal discovered widespread destruction and devastation. Witnesses reported that detainees were subjected to severe beatings and degrading treatment in front of their families. The extent of the damage suggests a deliberate effort to inflict collective punishment.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers have intentionally sabotaged vital infrastructure, including roads and water pipelines, further exacerbating the suffering of the civilian population. The mayor of Tammun asserted that the true objective of the operation is to systematically dismantle the region’s infrastructure and inflict harm upon its residents.
DZWatch has also received reports indicating that the Al-Far’a refugee camp is currently under a similar blockade, facing indiscriminate gunfire from military aircraft. The situation remains tense, and the humanitarian impact on the affected communities is a growing concern.
The events in Tammun and Al-Far’a highlight the escalating tensions and the ongoing challenges faced by Palestinian communities in the West Bank. Further investigation is underway.
