Tiaret – Minister of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure, Abdelkader Glaoui, underscored the critical importance of construction quality and adherence to technical standards during an inspection of the Tiaret-Tissemsilt railway project on Saturday. The project spans 63.5 kilometers.
The Minister’s visit was part of a broader working tour, during which he received a comprehensive overview of the public works sector in the Tiaret region. A detailed technical presentation of the railway project was also given at kilometer point 120 on the Ain Bouchekif road.
During the presentation, Glaoui emphasized the central role of the Higher School of Public Works Management and the Djelfa Vocational School in developing skilled personnel and training technical staff. He stated that such training is vital to improving project management capabilities and ensuring efficient project execution.
Minister Glaoui also reviewed projects in the Tiaret region that have benefited from road network improvements. Furthermore, he discussed proposed projects aimed at strengthening connectivity between different areas and improving transportation, thereby supporting local economic growth and creating new development opportunities.
The railway project is a key infrastructure development expected to boost economic activity in the region. Minister Glaoui’s focus on quality and technical precision highlights the government’s commitment to delivering robust and reliable infrastructure for the benefit of Algerian citizens.
