Algiers, November 30, 2025 – An exceptional lottery for the 1447 AH/2026 AD Hajj season will be held starting this Saturday, December 6, 2025. This special draw is exclusively for citizens aged seventy (70) years and older who have registered for the Hajj pilgrimage ten (10) times.
According to a statement released by the authorities of Laghouat Province, the lottery aims to prioritize elderly citizens who have repeatedly expressed their desire to perform the Hajj.
“It has been decided to conduct a lottery for the 1447 AH/2026 AD Hajj season specifically for citizens aged seventy (70) years and above, who have registered ten (10) times,” the statement detailed. The lottery will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the province headquarters.
The statement further urges those concerned, or their representatives, to attend the exceptional lottery. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to facilitating the Hajj pilgrimage for senior citizens who have demonstrated a long-standing dedication to fulfilling this important religious obligation.
