Israeli Forces Intensify Gaza Strikes Despite Truce

Despite the agreed-upon truce, the Israeli military continues to conduct airstrikes and artillery shelling on various locations within the Gaza Strip. Intense artillery fire has been reported targeting the eastern areas of Khan Yunis. Additionally, Israeli artillery has reportedly struck residential properties in the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods, east of Gaza City.

Earlier, the Israeli military announced it had killed over 40 militants in recent days during raids and explosions targeting tunnels in the Rafah area.

Eastern Khan Yunis, within the area known as the “Yellow Line,” witnessed a renewed escalation on Monday. Israeli artillery intensely shelled several points, coinciding with gunfire from low-flying helicopters, signaling a widening of tensions along the city’s eastern axis. Israeli aircraft also conducted strikes along the “Yellow Line,” targeting the Shuja’iya and Tuffah neighborhoods with missile fire.

According to figures released by the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire began on October 11th, the total number of Palestinian fatalities has reached 356, with 908 injured. This brings the total death toll from Israeli shelling since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, to 70,103, with 170,985 injured.
