Batna, Algeria – National Security services in Batna province have issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect believed to be involved in a case of theft and fraudulent ATM withdrawals.
The appeal, authorized by the Public Prosecutor of the Batna Court and based on Article 26 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, comes as the Economic and Financial Crimes Unit investigates a series of incidents involving a stolen debit card. Police suspect the individual pictured in circulated images of fraudulently obtaining a citizen’s debit card and making multiple unauthorized withdrawals from various ATMs.
Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect, possesses information regarding his whereabouts, or has had previous dealings with him, to come forward. Individuals are encouraged to contact their nearest police station or the Batna Court to provide testimony and aid in the ongoing investigation.
Any information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, could prove crucial in resolving the case and recovering the victim’s assets, authorities emphasized. National Security assures the public that all informants will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and their identities will be protected.
